The short version
- We collect what it takes to run your team: who's on it, the schedule, messages, and dues.
- We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- There are no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking — one cookie keeps you signed in.
- We never see or store card numbers. Stripe or Square handles them.
- Your email address is never shown to other members.
- Players don't have accounts. A parent can ask the coach, or us, to correct or remove their child's information.
- You can change your name, photo, and email address yourself in the app (Your profile), and see, correct, copy, or delete your information by emailing support@teamcnct.app.
Who we are
TeamConnect (teamcnct.app, with the app at app.teamcnct.app) is a communications and dues app for travel-baseball teams and organizations: roster, calendar, chat, announcements, dues collection, push notifications, a weekly email digest, and a calendar feed.
TeamConnect is operated by MTC Labs LLC, a Georgia limited liability company ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use TeamConnect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is part of our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Your account. Your email address, which is how you sign in, and your name and profile.
- Teams and roles. The organizations and teams you belong to and your role on each — for example Org Admin, Coach, Manager, Parent, Scorekeeper, or Fan.
- What you post and do. Chat messages, announcements, events, RSVPs, and read receipts (whether you've seen an announcement or message).
- Dues. Dues requests, and each family's payment status and amounts. Card details are entered on Stripe's or Square's own pages; we never see or store card numbers.
- Team logos that a team's admins upload.
- Your settings. Your notification preferences and your private calendar feed links.
Information about players, added by coaches and admins
A team's coaches and admins enter its roster: each player's name, jersey number, position, and which parents or guardians are linked to them. See Children and players.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, which we use to limit repeated sign-in attempts and to protect the service.
- Push subscriptions. If you turn on notifications on a device, that device's push address, so we can deliver notifications to it.
- Security and audit records of privileged actions — such as granting or removing roles, removing members, changing dues status, and billing changes — noting who did what and when.
- One session cookie that keeps you signed in. See Cookies and your device.
Children and players
Account holders must be 13 or older. Anyone under 18 needs a parent's or guardian's permission to use TeamConnect. We don't knowingly let children under 13 have accounts. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we will delete it.
Players don't have accounts. Many players are minors, so TeamConnect is built so that they don't need to sign in: their name, jersey number, position, and parent links are entered by the team's coaches and admins, who are responsible for having permission to add them. We use this information only to run the team — to show the roster, link parents to their players, and track dues.
Parents are in control of their child's information. A parent or guardian can ask the team's coach to correct or remove their child's information, or ask us directly at support@teamcnct.app. We'll verify the request and act on it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information directly, please contact us and we'll delete it.
How we use information
We use information only to provide and protect TeamConnect:
- to run your team's roster, calendar, chat, announcements, and dues;
- to sign you in, by emailing you a one-time code;
- to send the notifications and emails you've chosen — push notifications, the weekly digest, dues requests and reminders, and account and billing messages;
- to bill an organization's subscription;
- to keep the service secure — limiting sign-in attempts, recording privileged actions, and investigating abuse;
- to answer your questions and requests; and
- to meet our legal obligations.
We do not use personal information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Who can see what inside a team
- Members see each other's names and roles on the teams they share.
- Coaches and admins see their team's dues status — who has paid and what is owed. Parents see dues only for their own players.
- Read receipts and attendance. Everyone can see how many people are coming to an event and how many have read an announcement. Whether the names are shown is the team's choice, in its privacy settings.
- Messages are visible to the people in that conversation — the team (and its organization's admins, who may read the team channel) for the team channel, or just the participants for a group or direct message.
- Email addresses are never shown to other members.
How we share information
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We share it only with the service providers that run TeamConnect for us, each for its own part of the job:
- Cloudflare — hosting, our database, and file storage.
- Stripe — subscription billing, and dues for teams that collect them through Stripe.
- Square — dues for teams that collect them through Square.
- Resend — delivering email.
- Google Maps — suggesting addresses while a coach types an event's location. Google receives the text typed and the approximate area the request comes from (estimated from the network, not your device's location), never your name or account.
- Browser push services (Apple, Google, Mozilla, and Microsoft) — carrying notifications to your device. Notifications are encrypted so that only your device can read them.
When a family pays dues, the payment goes to the team's own Stripe or Square account, and that provider handles the card details under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it — for example, to comply with a valid court order — or where needed to protect the safety of any person or the security of the service.
Cookies and your device
TeamConnect uses one essential cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It can't be read by scripts on the page, and it isn't used for anything else. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking, so there's nothing to opt out of.
So that your team's screens open at the ballfield with no signal, the app saves a copy of some of them — such as the schedule, roster, and announcements — on your device. Dues, billing, and chat are not saved. The saved copy is erased when you sign out.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your account yourself in the app (open Your profile from your name in the menu, then "Delete my account"), or by emailing support@teamcnct.app; we'll complete an emailed request within 30 days.
What deleting your account removes
Your name and profile, your email address, your sessions, your team and organization memberships, your notification settings, your devices' push subscriptions, and your calendar feed links.
What stays, and why
- Chat messages you sent stay in other people's conversations, shown as from "Former member", so the conversation still makes sense to everyone else in it.
- Dues payment records stay as the team's financial records, attached to the player rather than to you.
- Audit log entries stay, with your name removed, as the record of what was done.
If you are the last Org Admin of an organization, you'll need to hand the organization to someone else before deleting your account, so the organization isn't left without anyone who can run it. Deleted information rolls off our backups within about 30 days.
Your rights and choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to get a copy of it. Email support@teamcnct.app from the address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days, and we may need to confirm it's really you first. We won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
You can also, at any time:
- choose which notifications you get, and turn them off on any device, in Notification settings;
- unsubscribe from the weekly digest with one click from any digest email, or in Notification settings;
- reset or stop using your calendar feed link.
Some emails aren't optional while you have an account — sign-in codes, and messages about your account or your organization's billing.
US state privacy rights
Some US states, including California, give residents specific privacy rights — such as the right to know what personal information is collected, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or its use for targeted advertising. Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of these things using the contact details below. We don't sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to profile you, so there is nothing to opt out of. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you; we may ask them for proof that you authorized them.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, sign-in codes that are stored only in hashed form and expire after 10 minutes, and access limited by role, so each person sees only what their role on a team allows. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TeamConnect changes. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. If we make a material change, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
